The renovation of Bank Mandiri's Executive Club at Taman Mataram, South Jakarta, turned a single function hall into a genuine multi-function venue — one day hosting confidential board meetings and investor presentations, the next a gala dinner, product launch, or live acoustic performance. Each use calls for a different acoustic environment: meetings need clarity and privacy, music needs warmth and presence, a full reception needs to stay lively without tipping into noise. Reconciling all of it inside one architecturally refined room, without acoustic treatment that reads as a visible technical add-on, was the core brief. ALTA Integra was engaged for architectural acoustic and audiovisual system design alongside the interior architect, working from the earliest design stages rather than retrofitting solutions afterward. Room performance was modelled and optimised in EASE (Enhanced Acoustic Simulator for Engineers) across the venue's different use-cases and occupancy levels, tracking Reverberation Time (RT60), Speech Transmission Index (STI), Sound Pressure Level, Clarity (C50/C80), and Bass Ratio to balance speech intelligibility against musical warmth. Absorptive, reflective, and diffusive surfaces were worked into the interior finishes themselves rather than added as visible panels, and the audiovisual system — loudspeakers, displays, projection, microphones, video conferencing — was coordinated into the ceiling and wall design so the technology stays out of sight until it's needed. The scope carried through tender review, site inspections during construction, and final testing and commissioning, confirming installed materials and systems matched design intent before handover. The result is a hall that shifts between board meeting, seminar, reception, and live performance without reconfiguration — legible when someone is presenting, private when a discussion needs to stay confidential, comfortable when the room is full.
