Hotel Indigo Bintan Lagoi Beach sits in the Lagoi Beach resort enclave on Bintan Island, in Indonesia's Riau Islands, a coastal destination reached by ferry from Singapore and built around beachfront hospitality. SugarBeats, the resort's beach club, is the property's dedicated entertainment venue, running a programme of live music and events for guests in an open-air, oceanfront setting. ALTA Integra was engaged for the audiovisual system design at SugarBeats, covering the audio and video infrastructure needed to run that programme — loudspeaker coverage, signal routing, and playback and mixing equipment sized for an open floor rather than an enclosed room. The scope centred on a single discipline, audiovisual, applied to a venue where sound has to carry cleanly across an unbounded outdoor space instead of a room with walls to help contain it. Open, weather-exposed venues place different demands on AV design than an indoor club: equipment has to tolerate salt air, humidity, and direct sun while still holding consistent coverage and sound quality across variable crowd sizes and weather conditions, night after night. That combination — a beachfront setting, live event programming, and equipment built to work reliably outdoors — shaped the audiovisual approach ALTA Integra took at SugarBeats within the wider Bintan Lagoi Beach resort.
