Karnaval Dangdut Thamrin is a dining, bar, and live-entertainment destination in Central Jakarta, designed with Morin Architect to run coffee shops, restaurants, bars, and entertainment zones inside a single mixed-use floor plan. That mix creates a specific problem: an energetic, amplified-music venue needs to stay livable next door — controlling reverberation and sound reflection so it doesn't disturb neighboring hotels and residential buildings, keeping speech intelligible in the public gathering areas, and avoiding visual overstimulation from stacking too much lighting into one space. ALTA Integra's acoustic scope managed reverberation and noise buildup while keeping speech clear across the dining and social areas, without flattening the energy of the amplified music. The lighting design layered atmosphere, visual hierarchy, and material accent lighting into scenes that shift from day service to night entertainment, while the audiovisual system was built to run live band performances, DJ sets, and ambient lounge background music on the same infrastructure, with a visual system for lighting scenes, live performance visuals, and promotional content. Acoustic material selection, lighting scene simulation, and AV infrastructure planning were coordinated from early design, with equipment concealment worked into the architecture so none of the three systems compete visually with the interior. That coordination is what lets a single Central Jakarta floor plate carry a coffee-shop daytime crowd and a dangdut-driven nightlife crowd without reconfiguring the space in between — acoustic, lighting, and AV were designed as one shared infrastructure from the start rather than three separate installations layered on top of each other.
