Kino Tower is a 27-storey Grade B office tower in Alam Sutera, Tangerang, completed in 2018 as the corporate headquarters of PT Kino Indonesia Tbk — a glass curtain-wall building with marble-finished interiors, whose podium mixes corporate floors with retail, a fitness centre, and the Black Swan Ballroom, a large public event venue. That programme put open offices, boardrooms, a public ballroom, and back-of-house plant into the same building, each with a different acoustic requirement. ALTA Integra worked as acoustic and audiovisual consultant alongside architect PT Arsita Interkreasi, main contractor PT Tatamulia Nusantara Indah, structural consultant PT Gistama Inti Semesta, and MEP consultant PT Metakom Pranata. Acoustics was built into the design from the start rather than added afterward as panels: zoning separated focus work from collaboration and social areas, façade detailing addressed traffic noise from the surrounding Alam Sutera area, and ceiling and material choices were coordinated to control reverberation. On the engineering side, the team worked with the MEP and structural consultants on HVAC noise, duct attenuation, equipment vibration isolation, elevator noise, and plant-room enclosure. Different space types were held to different targets — STC and Rw for sound isolation, NC and RC for background noise, reverberation time for room acoustics, and Speech Transmission Index for meeting rooms and hybrid video-conferencing spaces — verified through acoustic modeling, simulation, and post-construction measurement rather than assumed from the drawings.
