This private mancave in Jatinegara, Jakarta, completed in 2020, brings a live-band stage, a billiard table, and an audiophile HiFi/karaoke setup into a single room, three activities with distinct acoustic demands sharing one space, none of which could be treated as the room's single defining use. That mix made acoustic engineering, audiovisual, and lighting design equally central to the brief from the outset, rather than one discipline driving the design and the others following. ALTA Integra built the room around a raised-floor stage set beneath a contoured, motion-flowing drop ceiling, using 2D omni-directional acoustic diffusers, fabric panels, and perforated wooden panels to shape how sound behaves for live band performance, high-fidelity HiFi listening, and casual karaoke, three very different sound sources and listening modes sharing the same footprint without one overwhelming another. Lighting was tuned for a cozy, low-key atmosphere suited to both quiet listening sessions and livelier nights, and the full design, acoustic treatment, lighting, and room layout together, was visualized, calculated, and commissioned by ALTA Integra's team to confirm the finished room actually performed as planned across all three uses, rather than being finished on assumption alone.
