MD Pictures is one of Indonesia's major film production houses, part of the MD Entertainment group, with a catalogue spanning theatrical releases and television drama. For MD Pictures' recording studio in Jakarta, completed in 2022, ALTA Integra delivered the integrated acoustic, lighting, and digital audio workstation design, tested and commissioned as a single, complete system built to serve both broadcast and recording-studio work under one roof. The brief centered on the acoustic design: building a natural listening and recording environment inside a limited existing building envelope, rather than having the freedom of a purpose-built structure to work with from the outset. Working inside that existing envelope meant the acoustic treatment had to do the work a ground-up build would otherwise handle through room shape and structure alone. That single acoustic master plan carries the studio across its full range of use, tracking, dubbing, foley, and post-production, so the room performs consistently whichever stage of a film's sound work is underway, tying the facility's day-to-day workflow to one coherent acoustic design rather than a room-by-room approach. For a production house working across theatrical and television output, that consistency is what lets the same studio move between formats without the acoustic performance changing along with the job.
