The Santo Ignatius Loyola building is a new academic building at Kolese Kanisius, the Jesuit-run secondary school in Menteng, Central Jakarta. The building was designed to house a mix of large-group and quiet-study spaces — a multi-function hall, an education theater, and a library — each intended to support the school's future education programs rather than a single fixed use. ALTA Integra worked alongside architect Atelier Cosmas Gozali on the building's audiovisual, acoustic, and lighting design, covering all three spaces as one coordinated scope rather than three separate briefs. Each room carries different technical requirements — a multi-function hall built for flexible assembly use, an education theater suited to presentations and instruction, and a library where quiet, even lighting and low background noise matter more than in either of the other two rooms. Handling acoustics, lighting, and audiovisual together across a building with this kind of programmatic range meant keeping each discipline's design decisions consistent with the others as they moved from room to room, rather than treating the hall, theater, and library as unrelated fit-outs. That coordinated approach is what let the Santo Ignatius building serve three distinct educational functions under one technical scope.
