Sindanglaya Audiophile Room is a listening room built into a private hillside residence in West Java for a private developer client. Rather than an incidental home-theater corner, the room was purpose-built as an isolated space for critical listening, separate from the house's general living areas. ALTA Integra combined acoustic, lighting, and audiovisual design into a single scope for the room, treating sound and light as one design problem rather than three separate briefs. The acoustic work addressed room isolation and internal acoustic behaviour tuned for serious listening, the lighting design shaped the room's atmosphere without competing with the listening experience, and the electrical/AV integration tied the two together, a rigor typically reserved for recording or mastering environments, applied here to a private home. The house's hillside site also brought climate resilience and green-building considerations into the same scope, factoring the residence's environmental performance into how the room's envelope and systems were specified alongside its acoustic and lighting brief. The result is a listening environment designed to the same underlying standard as a professional studio, built for one household's private use in West Java rather than commercial production.
