Performance Engineering by Sector

Across the sectors ALTA Integra serves, the practice applies human-centred performance engineering by sector across diverse project types — integrating acoustics, lighting, AV, thermal comfort, and sustainability to mitigate post-construction issues and enhance wellbeing, efficiency, and long-term value.

Six Sector Groups

Six sector groups organise the full range of building types ALTA Integra has worked across since 2010: public buildings and spaces, corporate and education, residential and hospitality, entertainment and media, industry and construction, and cities and communities. Each group contains several more specific sub-sectors, from stadiums to houses of worship to data centres.

How Performance Engineering by Sector Works

More than 60% of ALTA Integra's new work comes from clients already worked with, or referrals from them — a signal that performance engineering by sector holds up past hand-over, not just at design review. Each sector page groups real, completed projects rather than generic capability statements, so a prospective client in any given building type can see what was actually delivered for a comparable one.

The same framework travels across sectors: a preliminary study and design criteria phase, modelling and simulation before construction, cross-disciplinary coordination during it, and measurement and commissioning after — whether the building is a stadium, a hospital, or a recording studio. What changes by sector is which standards apply and which disciplines lead, not whether the work is measured.

How Sector Work Is Scoped

A project's sector rarely determines its scope on its own — a corporate headquarters and a boutique hotel can both need acoustic, lighting, and AV work, but in very different proportions and sequencing. ALTA Integra scopes each engagement against the client's real brief within its sector, rather than applying a generic template because the building type matches a category.

Sectors with the deepest project history at ALTA Integra include corporate and education, healthcare, and cultural and entertainment venues — each represented across multiple completed engagements referenced throughout this site's project portfolio.

Who These Sectors Serve

Clients across these sectors include DBS Bank, Bank Indonesia, Global Investment Bank, Global Digital Entertainment Platform, Canisius College, and Mandiri University. Each sector groups the specific integrated engineering services most relevant to that building type — a hospital leans on acoustic and lighting comfort, while a data centre leans on mechanical noise control and ESG-aligned infrastructure.
